Unraveled mysteries of the history of Egyptian Civilization

Ancient Civilization

Egypt is one of the most historic countries in the world as it actually has 1/3 of the world’s historic monuments that date back to 2558 BC, yet the history of Ancient Egypt is buried deeply in books and articles instead of being diffused around the world for everybody to recognize its significance.

Ancient Egyptian Civilization in Northeast Africa was situated in the Nile Valley. Ancient Egyptian civilization coalesced around 3150 BC with the political unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the first king of the First Dynasty, Narmer.

Predominantly native Egyptian rule lasted until the conquest by the Achaemenid Empire in the sixth century BC.

The History of Ancient Civilization

In ancient Egyptian history, dynasties are a series of rulers sharing a common origin. They are usually, but not always, traditionally divided into 32 Pharaonic dynasties; these dynasties are commonly grouped by modern scholars into “kingdoms” and “intermediate periods”.

The history of Ancient Egypt is divided into three main periods: the Old Kingdom (about 2,700-2,200 B.C.E.), the Middle Kingdom (2,050-1,800 B.C.E.), and the New Kingdom (about 1,550-1,100 B.C.E.).

The New Kingdom was followed by a period called the Late New Kingdom, which lasted until about 343 B.C.E.

The religion of Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt’s religion was polytheism, the belief in many gods. Polytheism characterizes virtually all religions other than Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, which share a common tradition of monotheism, the belief in one God.
