The Technology Hub

The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom is a vital component of modern education. At Maadi Narmer School, we are committed to integrating ICT into our teaching strategies to enhance student learning and prepare them for the digital age.

Our approach emphasizes the application of ICT teaching strategies through authentic learning experiences, enabling students to develop essential skills such as critical thinking and creativity.

Semi-International

Our semi-international curriculum places a strong emphasis on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to nurture highly literate and numerate independent learners. We aim to empower our students to access and use information in various forms with confidence.

ICT Department:

Our ICT department is at the forefront of this endeavour. We offer a wide range of technology-related skills and knowledge, including Microsoft Office skills and coding. The following is what our students can expect:

  • Primary 1, 2, and 3:

Students in these grades are introduced to pivot animator software, enabling them to create stick-figure and sprite animations. They can save these creations in animated GIF format for use on web pages.

  • Primary 4 – Secondary:

Our curriculum aligns with the standards set by the Ministry of Education MOE. It includes, but is not limited to, subjects like Scratch, PHP, Visual Basic, and Expression Web.

Student Success:

We are proud to witness our students’ incredible progress in the field of technology. They not only acquire coding skills but also develop the ability to take on new challenges. Our students think critically, logically, and creatively as they explore the creation of futuristic AI robots. This experience helps them apply their knowledge about robotics and control systems.

British/ Oxford International Primary Curriculum

Maadi Narmer School offers a British curriculum that underscores the importance of technology education in today’s world. With an approach that aligns with the British educational system, we prepare our students to be tech-savvy, independent learners who are highly literate and numerate.

ICT Department:

Our ICT department is at the heart of our technological education. We offer a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge, including Microsoft Office proficiency and Coding.

Curriculum Standards:

Our curriculum is built around the Oxford International Primary Curriculum, introducing technology skills progressively based on grade levels. We provide students with Microsoft Office skills from Year 1 to Year 8. These skills cover typing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and web page creation using online ready-made programmes. Additionally, we offer a strong foundation in coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Student Success:

Our students’ achievements in technology education are truly remarkable. They not only become proficient in coding but also develop the skills to embrace new challenges. Our students learn to think critically, logically, and creatively as they embark on creating futuristic AI robots, applying their knowledge of robotics and control systems.
