Nursery, KG1 and KG2
Our goal in the KG Department at MNS Semi-International Section is to foster the intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our young learners to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning.
Our curriculum provides a healthy balance of child-directed and teacher-guided activities, as well as time for children to work individually, and in small and large groups.
Furthermore, we believe that Interactive Teaching plays an important role in the learning process. Therefore, we support our curriculum with various digital programs on Smart Boards located in the Multimedia rooms.
English
The KG English curriculum divides phonics into five basic skills throughout the three grade levels (Nursery, KG1, and KG2).
This provides the children with opportunities to read by using a variety of fiction and non-fiction books and helps scaffold emergent writers through the different stages of writing till they become independent writers.
Through comprehensive theme work, the children are introduced to a wide range of general knowledge covering the different aspects of their daily life and surroundings, as well as integrating different Science and Social Studies topics, which support the development of their comprehension skills and their oral language.
Maths
The KG Maths curriculum supplies our students with a secure foundation to develop conceptual understanding, numerical fluency, problem-solving skills, and mathematical confidence.
The curriculum covers two main areas:
- Numbers and Counting including numbers, number value, number formation, grouping, sharing, and calculating.
- Shape, Space, and Measures including shapes, patterns, colours, position, and direction, sorting, collecting data, measuring time, length, height, and weight.

التمهيدي
تعتبر مرحلة رياض الأطفال من أهم المراحل التي يمر بها الطفل في بداية حياته و تعرفه على العالم الخارجي حيث أنه في هذه المرحلة توضع البذرة الأولى في مرحلة تكوين شخصيته و الأساس الذي تبنى عليه المراحل التالية.
و نظرا لأهمية هذه المرحلة من عمر الطفل يتم تقديم مجموعة من المفاهيم و المهارات و الأنشطة التي تساعد الطفل في التعبير عن نفسه و التعرف عما حوله من أشياء و التعبير عنها بمفردات لغوية سليمة و غرس قيم و عادات و سلوكيات أساسية في تنمية الطفل و تنشئته تنشئة سليمة.
و من أهم الوسائل التي نستعين بها في طرقنا التعليمية الأغنية و القصة و كلتاهما تجعل الطفل يشعر أنه يلعب و يغني و هو يتعلم و أيضا يتم تعليم الطفل من خلال تطبيق (طريقة منتسوري الأمريكية) و تعتمد هذه الطريقة على تعليم الطفل من خلال حواسه التي يستخدمها في التعرف غلى كل شىء بالمجسمات و الصور و عمل أنشطة متنوعة حركية و فنية.
مرحلة رياض الأطفال
إن مرحلة رياض الأطفال هي اولى المراحل الهامة لدى الأطفال و بخاصة في عملية تأسيس و تأهيل الطفل للمرحلة الأبتدائية، لذلك حرصنا على أن يكون الطفل محور العملية التعليمية وأن يمارس جميع الأنشطة و المهارات التي تساعده على أكتشاف مواهبه و ميوله و قدراته و أن تكون العملية التعليمية ممتعة للطفل و شيقة. لذلك كان هدفنا الأول و الأسمى هو تنمية مهارات اللغة العربية بصفة عامة عند الطفل ثم مهارات القراءة و الكتابة بصفة خاصة.
تتم تهيئة الطفل للقراءة و الكتابة بصورة تدريجية تجعله يمتص اللغة و يتعايش معها حيث يمارس العديد من التدريبات اللغوية بطريقة غير تقليدية (لمس – نظر – سمع – حركة) و في النهاية يتعلم الطفل بسهولة و يكتسب الخبرات اللغوية و الحياتية بشكل متكامل و يحب لغته و يجيد استعمالها و ممارستها في حياته.
Extracurricular Activities
At MNS we believe that academics are not the only component of a comprehensive education system. Extracurricular activities also play an important role with a positive impact on students’ success. Both academic and extracurricular activities complement each other and develop well-rounded, socially skilled, and healthier children.
